How can i get veritas storage foundation and High availability from Symantec ? Is it free ? No.Only Veritas Storage Foundation Basic is a free-license version of Veritas Storage Foundation . Using the basic version, you can create up to four volumes and four diskgroups and you can’t use veritas cluster service in this.
But you have an option here to use full version of Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability (HA) for 60 days using key less licensing option.I will show you how to enable key-less installation here.
In the first part we will see how to download storage foundation package from Symantec. Go to http://www.symantec.com/en/in/storage-foundation and click on trial-ware.
It will prompt you for login or create a new account. If you don’t have existing one,Just create it.After logging in to the site, you will get below screen.

After downloading the packages ,you can install using keyless licensing option.
To comply with the terms of Symantec's End User License Agreement, you have 60 days to either: * Enter a valid license key matching the functionality in use on the systems * Enable keyless licensing and manage the systems with a Management Server. For more details visit http://go.symantec.com/sfhakeyless. The product is fully functional during these 60 days. 1) Enter a valid license key 2) Enable keyless licensing and complete system licensing later How would you like to license the systems? [1-2,q] (2) (Select keyless licensing for trial) 1) SF Standard HA 2) SF Enterprise HA b) Back to previous menu Select product mode to license: [1-2,b,q,?] (1) (Select standard HA license) Would you like to enable the Veritas Volume Replicator? [y,n,q] (n) (No to volume replicator) Registering SFHA license Storage Foundation High Availability Install completed successfully.
That’s it. You can use key-less licensing for 60 days as workaround till you get actual license key from vendor.
